The Phone Call
Hugh had picked up the phone and had dialled a familiar number. He waited as it connected and rang. After two rings, someone picked up.
"Jo speaking," came Hugh's wive's voice.
"Hey Jo," he said.
"Hey honey, how are you?"
"Umm..." he stumbled for words.
"What's up?"
"I have some -- uh --"
Jo had picked up on Hugh's distress and immediately jumped to conclusions.
"Oh my gosh, you're sleeping with HER aren't you?!"
"No, no -- not quite,"
"Not quite. What do you mean!?"
"I want a divorce Jo, I'm sorry," he mumbeled.
"You want a divorce!?" she screeched down the reciever.
"Yes," he said, rubbing a hand up and down the back of his neck.
"For HER?"
"SHe has a name, Jo, use it," he said, getting defensive.
"What is it? Kandy the Slut?"
"Her name is Lisa, Jo. She is not a slut, I pag-ibig her!"
"And you don't pag-ibig me?" she said, her sobs evident.
"Of course I pag-ibig you Jo --"
"No you don't!"
"Just let me finish,"
"Fine,"
"I do pag-ibig you, but not as a a wife. I pag-ibig you like you're a sister to me. You'll always be part of my family, but I don't think it's your job to be there for me 24/7,"
Jo let out a little laugh. "I'll get the lawyer to send you the documents --" she sinabi and then the dial tone sounded in Hugh's ear.
He replaced the phone and looked into the mirror infront of him.

This is a ridiculously short drabble post that I wrote like, five minutos before this because I am hungry and all I had all araw was Pepsi. It could be taken as either Huddy or Huli, or even both, lol.

There were too many consequences; the backlash would be cruel and harsh, and she's not sure if they could live through it.
Too much was at stake; too many people hurt. What was to become of their careers and relationships?
But then he kisses her, and she forgets.
Just for a little while.
"I pag-ibig you," She feels him whisper it against her lips, and she knows then that she doesn't care anymore.
He is all she needs.
