An oras and half later, dressed and fresh out of shower, Hugh got downstairs. He heard happy gurgles coming out of the living room and headed there. Opening the living room door, he found Charlie tying to watch telebisyon while Nick tossed around susunod to him on the couch.
“Daddy” the little boy exclaimed happily clasping his little hands.
Charles looked at Hugh, obviously annoyed.
“What took you so long?”
Hugh smirked, involuntarily “I… got caught up in the shower”
Oh, and he did! Just as he got under it and decided to wash his hair, Lisa opened the paliguan door and got it, and, well, let’s just say he didn’t wash his hair after all.
While he had been getting dressed in the closer, Hugh made a huge decision. He was going to live this life fully. To the maximum. The events that had taken place during the nakaraan two days (and nights) made Hugh believe that maybe he was dreaming the life he’d been previously leading.
When you considered everything, sometimes it was madami of a nightmare.
For what he knew, he could just as easily stay like this forever.
And looking at his sixteen-month old son, forever wasn’t long enough.

“I heard” Charlie replied coolly, making Hugh blush a little.
He seated himself in one of the armchairs and took Nicholas in his lap. The little toddler was obviously bored and he found a way to entertain himself sa pamamagitan ng jumping up and down on Hugh’s lap.
The commercials were on and Charlie used the opportunity to turn to his father.
“You know dad, I thought once you hit 50, you’d be… less active. Let’s put it that way” Lie pulled a somewhat shocked face “But no… You turn out to be having even madami fun than before… Sometimes it gets really annoying” he played with a strand of his dark hair.
“Charles, I don’t think that’s something I am willing to discuss with you” There was that uncomfortable feeling again.
“It’s ok, dad, really… I totally get you” Hugh raised his eyebrow “What I mean is, I’m twenty and I have madami fun things to do than babysit to my younger brother” he let his eyes fall to the floor. It was obviously bugging him.
“I know you do…” Hugh felt really bad, having him enjoying… the paliguan and Charles stuck with Nicholas.
Nick skipped from the jumping to pulling Hugh’s hair. The little one was so bored.

A segundo later, Lisa appeared on the living room doorway.
“Hey, you’ve eaten?” she asked everybody
“No” Hugh and Charlie sinabi in unison while Nick shook his head.
“Charlie, why don’t you do tell Monica to make us some breakfast, then?” she sinabi with a yawn
“I wonder why you’re tired…” Charlie sinabi sarcastically and making Hugh blush he left the room.
Taking a upuan on the sopa and changing the channel to something that appealed to her, Lisa spoke
“So, when are we going to tell them?”
Hugh, playing with Nicholas and grinning at how cute he was, titled his head
“The sooner the better? I don’t know how they’ll react though” was he supposed to say that out loud?
Lisa let her head fall on the backside of the couch.
“The same as they reacted the first two times?” She raised a brow “Thought we were kidding with them? Although they weren’t that surprised with Nick as much with Elyon, cause they suspected she’s yours from the start and once you’ve told them… It wasn’t that jolly”
So, the kids had known from the start?
Nick tried to free himself from his father’s arms. Hugh put him on the floor and the toddler immediately ran off to the play mat.
“What about David?” Hugh frowned. He wished he had been there the first two times they told him. Hugh smirked, that had to go at least a little bit bad.
Lisa smiled innocently “I already told him” she pretended to be watching TV.
“You told David before you told me?” That wasn’t right. Hugh crossed his arms, he was a bit insulted.
“Um, he actually suggested I don’t tell you for another week… He figured you’ve been dealing with too much having House go crazy and all… But I know you, and I know you can cope with it” she offered a smile as an apology.
“Thank you… but, how could you tell him before you told me? I’m the father…” he pouted a little.
“Honey, I always told David before I told you” she smiled uncertainly and moved herself to other side of the sopa so she could reach Hugh’s hand. He pulled away.
“This is why I wanted you to be talking madami with me…” Hugh sighed “You seem to be madami interested in sex than actually talking with me” he gritted his teeth.
“What? How did this come up?” Lisa frowned “If this has something to do with the fact I didn’t tell you when I got pregnant with Elyon and when I didn’t want to talk about it, or when I didn’t want you to leave your family because I got pregnant, GET over it! I thought we cleared this up…” her voice broke “I’m not a talker… I’m a doer” she smiled a bit, trying to hide the tears. Hugh felt wrong, in so many ways.
He couldn’t reply to anything she said. He didn’t have any idea what happened all those years ago. Hell, he didn’t know what happened on Friday!
“I’m sorry… It just keeps bugging me… I don’t even know what made you change your mind, and it would be nice to know something” he teared a little, of course, he was again talking in general.
He hated being helpless.
“Let’s get this over with once and for all…” she smiled “I… just as now, couldn’t imagine my life without you. And… when you decided to leave your wife no matter I told you not to, I realized that maybe you couldn’t imagine your life without me either.” A tear rolled down her cheek, Hugh could see how hard was it for her to talk about her feelings “ Turned out, I was right” she smiled shyly, again reaching for his hand, this time, he didn’t pull away.
“Do you know why we don’t talk, Hugh” she said, her voice still broken “I mean, besides the fact I can’t really talk about my feelings” she smirked “ It’s because we understand each other even without words. We pag-ibig each other so much that we feel it’s enough just being in the other’s presence” she got up and sat on Hugh’s lap, snuggling close to him.
She was right. He could just stay like that for a long, long time. He really did find her presence enough.
Why the hell had he pushed the talking that much?
He didn’t care anymore.
Billy flied the door open, startling them both.
“I thought you two finished the make out session last night” Billy, always the funny guy
“Shut up, William” Lisa giggled placing a halik on Hugh’s lips, trying to emphasize her point
“Yeah, yeah… whatever… The breakfast is ready” Billy sinabi going to pick up Nicholas, who was playing with a stuffed tiger.
Lisa, still trying to ignore Billy, deepened the halik she was sharing with her husband.
“Oh, come on!” William groaned “The last thing we need right now is another one of these” he looked at Nick.
Lisa immediately pulled away from Hugh, stiffening a little.
Hugh blushed instantly.
William, taking his a few seconds, finally realized.
“Oh my God. Oh. My. God!!!”
