Robert went back upstairs trying to clear his head and deciding he wouldn’t tell Lisa that he saw everything. Lisa was still in her living-room sobbing uncontrollably. She was devastated. After a while, she gathered all her strength and went to the bathroom to hide away the fact that she had cried. She wondered why Robert hadn’t come down already, but she was thankful. She didn’t want to explain. It was better if he didn’t know a thing. After making herself presentable, she went upstairs looking for Rob. She found him in her bedroom sound asleep. She sighed in relief and went to the kusina to drink some tea. She needed to calm her nerves. She regretted not having alcohol in her house because she could use some bodka right now, she thought somberly. As she sat there, staring at nothing in particular her tears started to come again.
-    Oh God. You are such a fool Lisa. Why the hell did you fall in pag-ibig with him? Why? You knew very well that he is off limits. But you deserve it, don’t you? You never really cared about love. You always wanted men for fun and companionship, but never for love. And now you chose the time to fall in pag-ibig when you really shouldn’t. But what did you expect really? That he would leave his wife for you? His children? Oh God. Now I am not just an idiot but a selfish asong babae as well. Great. That’s just great. I would deserve a slap in the face. – she sinabi to herself tiredly, exhausted from all the crying. She has to ilipat on. He moves on as well. She can’t chase dreams anymore. That would get her nowhere. She has to stop. Yes, that’s what she is going to do. Easier sinabi than done. – she mused. She would start this moving on crap tomorrow. Today she will just feel sorry for herself. Yes, great idea, but how in the hell is she going to get Robert out of the house. Oh, yes – something popped in her head – she will just tell him, she is meeting with some friends, and she would see him tomorrow. Yeah, that will do. - I am an actress, I should be able to pull it off without breaking down in front of him. - She was startled from her thoughts sa pamamagitan ng approaching footsteps.
-    Hey Lise, where are you?- called Robert.
-    In the kitchen. – she shouted, while hastily clearing her face from remaining teardrops.
-    Hey, what’s up? Is Hugh gone? – he asked with an innocent face.
-    Yes, he went away about half an oras ago.
-    I see. Everything all right? I mean you look a bit down. – Rob asked, although he knew full well what had upset Lisa.
-    No, no, no everything is all right. I am fine. – she lied through her teeth. – I just going to miss him, that’s all, he is a great friend.
-    I can imagine. – Robert murmured bitterly, but to his luck Lisa wasn’t really listening to him.
-    Umm… Robert? – Lisa said, a plan was finally forming in her head.
-    Yes?
-    I want to invite some of my friends. To have a girl talk…. You know. I haven’t seen them for quite some time, and now that the ipakita is over and I have loads of free time, I want to catch up on what happened with them in the last few weeks.
-    Sooo…..this is your way of asking me to leave and come back later? – he asked with a forced smile, knowing that she doesn’t want to meet with anybody, she just wants to be alone, or at least away from him. He was fuming inside. What the hell does Hugh Laurie have that he doesn’t. He is an artist. Lisa likes artists. And he gave up his family for her and that is something her Hugh wasn’t even capable of. But according to the nakaraan scene, she loved him. Well he is always up for a challenge, and Hugh backed out without a fight, flew back to London and is never coming back. It is going to be easier than he thought – he smiled victoriously to himself. After all Lisa is still with him, and he will make sure that it stays that way.
-    Yeah. – she said, still not really paying attention.
-    Okay then. Have fun. – he sinabi while grabbing his belongings. – call me if the house is clear. Otherwise, I will only come around tomorrow. Bye honey. – with that he kissed her passionately on the lips and left.
-    Oh god… what have I done to deserve this? – she said, while mentally slapping herself, for being such an idiot. She is crying over a man, who claims he loves her but leaves nevertheless, and she is actually kicking out her boyfriend, who is a wonderful man, who cares for her, who loves her. She really is the biggest idiot. But for the last time. – I will ilipat on. I have to. For myself.
