When I heard I was going to have a baby sister, I couldn't believe it.




One day, Ma and I were just getting ready for hapunan when she dropped the Sonic Rainboom on me.



She was pregnant.



Now, pregnancy is a big deal. You need to prepare for a long time and then actually have your filly. Then you need to raise them,

As the rest of the mansanas Family munched away happily, Pa and I went out to the orchard. "I understan' you're upset 'n all, but I wan' you to promise me somethin'." He glanced around and leaned in slowly. I looked at him.



"You mus' promise to protect your sister always," Pa whispered. "Please?"



I thought for a minute. I guess raising a sister could be fun, if I truly loved her...



After a moment's hesitation, I looked back up at Pa. "I promise."
