KotokoAihara I agree that its too much in one season, but I also think that most people saw this coming. And to me it would bad writing for her not to become princess or something of great importance because that's what the creators have hinted at and stated in the show. Also, I don't think this leaves the show with nothing else to do because this is just the first step. Celestia talked about Twilight becoming for something and this is probably just the beginning of that something. Nor does this destroy the mane six just because Twilight is a princess doesn't mean she won't she them and nor does it make her more important. I'm sure by the end of the show each of the characters will accomplish something extraordinary and Twilight being the main character was just the first to do it. Anyways I hope they pull this because if they don't it will leave many disgruntled fans.

Edvine2 Brace yourselves, Hasbro. Ratings plummets are coming. I could see this happening if this was a series finale, but it's not. Why in ninja cyborg planetary Celestia is this happening? The Mane 6 will be ruined, the main pony will become a lot less relatable, and I can comfortably say that I am not looking forward to the season finale. I'll watch it, but not with the enthusiasm of the previous episodes. And to think, I ran through over 50 episodes in 1 week just to be caught up, then find out that this is indeed happening. And the worst thing? No background Derpy this season, which is unforgivable. Stock markets: Rising. My Little Pony TV ratings: Ready to drop off a cliff. My overall perspective rating of the show: Priceless. But seriously, that's gonna drop too. I will now close out the reply in the only way I know how: The Darth Vader NOOOOOO!!!' PlatinumBeetle This COULD be done right but given all the experience I've had with series going on longer than they can handle I'm going to say the chances of them ACTUALLY doing it right are extremely low, especially since Lauren Faust is no longer in charge. I wonder if it has to do with marketing. After all Twilight suddenly always had a big brother in the same episode that changed pink Celestia, I mean Candace, from a toy to canon - right before they did the same thing with crystal ponies. Really the whole S2 finale/S3 premiere duo only make any sense in the context of marketing. I'm worried about how this increasingly marketing-driven writing style could effect the shows quality in the future if it moves beyond the season premieres and finales, especially since the toy line isn't even any good. (PVC figures excepted) The only way this really could work is if the series moves in a more Magical Girl direction since Twilight becoming a princess is about epic transformation and ancient prophecy type stuff, but given that so far the "adventure" episodes (monster attacks and season premieres) have been overall less interesting than the Slice of Life episodes makes me think they probably can't pull that off unless they get some new blood on the writing staff - though if they could pull it off I'd be one of the first to push for it, as long as we still get Slice of Life episodes in between the epicness (like how X-Files had a mix of Mythology and Monster-of-the-Week episodes). If Hasbro does manage to pull this off somehow I think I will fall in love with the series all over again. If they don't then I hope the series doesn't keep getting renewed and the writers will be told ahead of time when the last season will be so the show will neither end without a resolution nor die a slow painful death like so many other good series that have gone before it. (X-Files, Stargate SG-1, every Shonen Jump anime ever made, etc.)

BaconAlicorn I can't believe al, you people! It won't ruin the Mane Six because, SPOILER ALERT! They all will become alicorns too! And it's not ruining the series, it's opening up a whole universe of possibilities. Twilight being alicorn might make Celestia finally tell us what's happened in history that the fans want to know! Imagine knowing about Celie's parents, or how the world was made, or how all the princesses became alicorns (actually, SPOILER ALERT, in season 4 we will learn how Cadence became a princess)! Oh, all this negativity is reminding me of something. Oh yeah, EQUESTRIA GIRLS!!!!!!! People like you guys said it was going to be terrible because it "changed" some things, but it turned out tone a great movie! Also, Magical Mystery Cure, the episode where Twilight becomes an alicorn, is my favourite episode in the entire series, and Habsbro worked hard on it. Also, season 3 was my favourite season because not only did it not have loads of crappy filler episodes like season 2, but a lot of dreams were accomplished. I like how this series changes, and doesn't end up IN THE SAME FREAKING PLACE AFTER EVERY EPISODE!!!!!! Also, some of the staff of MLP FiM are considering leaving the show because of all you guys being so mean, ignorant, and just plain judging things before you actually think about it. Isn't MLP FiM based on not judging things before you see it? ALSO, MLP FiM is made for little girls, Hansbro doesn't have to even listen to us Bronies and Pegasisters.
