a poem written
and sung by
Annie Lennox (2007)
fingernail moon
up in the sky
come out and see me
see me sometimes
'cause i'm here alone
stuck in the blue
no distance between us
between me and you
i've got nothing to hide
i've got nothing to lose
you'll be sa pamamagitan ng my side
c'mon tell me the truth
elegant moon
you cut like a knife
it does me no favours
to stay out of my sight
suspended like glass
all ancient and new
all of puwang lies between us
between me and you
there's no need to be shy
there's no need to be scared
i need you tonight
come on out if you dare
i'm just a girl with my feet on the ground
i'm just a girl with my head goin' round
i feel so sad
there's somethin’ unsettlin’ under my skin
i don't know the reason or where to begin
caught in the circles i've found myself in
but i want to reach out and touch you
my sweet sickle moon
up in the skies
come out and see me
see me sometimes
'cause i'm here alone
after all we've been through
with the distance between us
between me and you
it don’t matter how long
it don't matter how far
i'll meet you tonight
under the stars

we tie time
in knots and try
to connect the dots,
but time was meant
to measure between
things and all
we’re measuring
is the difference
between his time
and my time
or between this time
and last time.
30 segundos in the microwave
means nothing
until those 30 seconds
could have been spent
eating the food,
talking to a sister,
or practicing that new
dance ilipat which is only
new because it is newer
than those other moves
because its distance
is shorter to the present
than the other dance class
and not because
it is the susunod big thing,
although that makes a different
ilipat new.
what i mean to say
is that time is overused,
overemphasized. we give
time the throne
and it rules and makes rules.
we follow them
because we like to think
that time is important
and we are important
and our time is gold,
but even gold
would have no value
if there were an endless supply,
and time is endless, but
not for us, but
time is endless nevertheless.

This poem has been written in my own style. I prefer free style mga tula so this poem does not rhyme.
Enjoy~
Sitting a pearl white tub filled with warm clear water.
Sanctuary.
I set a slightly rusty blade gently on the center of my wrist.
The cool blade on my warm skin feels good.
Pressing harder, drawing crimson blood.
I slide the blade across my skin.
Sharp pain shoots through me.
Moaning in pain, I continue.
Blood starts dripping into the water.
kulay-rosas swirls in the water.
I let my bloody wrist soak in the water.
It stings, but feels good.
The blade goes into my other hand and do the same to my right wrist.
Sanctuary.
I let all my pain from lies ooze out of me and into the already kulay-rosas water.
Tears run down my cheeks.
I feel sick and my eye lids droop.
I feel better now.
My head rolls to the side as I go unconsicious
Sanctuary.
