If Snape had a daughter, what do you think her name was going to be?

Don't think he'd name his daughter Lily. It's pretty poor form to name your child after an old flame. Don't think the mother of the child would appreciate that. Plus he wouldn't want to run the risk of his child sharing the same name as Harry's daughter. Maybe he'd name her Eileen after his mother or some other Prince relative. Otherwise he'd pick a name with a nice meaning behind it eg:

Saurav — "Divine, celestial"
Shiri — "Song of my soul"
Siusana — "Graceful lily" ;-)

I'm finding 'S' names go the best. Seana, Sade, Saffiya, Saraya/Saroya, and Serenity are among my favorites.

Okay in an alternative version of Harry Potter; Say right before she died Snape and Lily Potter had "under-the-sheets-fun" and met secretly while James was off with Sirius or something. And Lily became pregnant with their secret Daughter. BUT...When she started ipinapakita and had the baby she had to say it was James' like " Well honey..I guess she was a surprise we didn't know was coming". Then of course one taon old Harry and baby Lily were in Harry's room on Halloween when Voldemort came and Harry Blocked the spell from hitting her after his parents died. Then of course Harry and the Baby would be picked up sa pamamagitan ng Hagrid..but only Harry would stay with the Dursleys because Dumbledore, McGonagall and Hagrid noticed that the baby resembled her father a little bit. And they took a trip to Spinners End.

I obviously got really carried away, but that was fun. I think her name would be Lily Snape.

The first name that crossed my mind was Serena. I don't think she would get one of the most popular names and I think the sound of Serena fits well. I also imagine that serene would describe her character well and after all the name Severus refers to a character trait too.

I think a lot of S-names would work, Samantha Snape, Selina Snape, Sophie Snape, all that sort of thing. Really, most names madami than 1 syllable would work...

Well I'm thinking of a daughter he had out of pag-ibig with Lily would be named something less 'severe'. Plus Lily's influence probabaly wouldn't allow him to name their daughter 'poison' or something hahaha. Maybe something like 'Sorsha' though or maybe even something similar to Lily's name like 'Lillian'

Depends on who the mother would be. In an alternate reality, if Severus is married to Lily, I don't think they would call the girl like her mother as a first name (more likely a middle name). Maybe he would go for Eileen (his mother) or any other female name from the Evans family or a close friend of theirs, for example.

If it is a secret child of him that Lily would have carried and ibingiay birth to before Voldemort killed the Potter parents, then the girl's first name would have been the Potters' choice, not Severus'.

sa pamamagitan ng any other woman ? Depends if it is unbeknownst to him or not. But I could imagine he would give her a Celtic name or a Latin name, like in pureblood families, with his mother's first name as a middle name, if he were ibingiay a choice.

I think he would name her after something in nature.maybe a latin name,for various flora & fauna used in potions.or something magical like cassandra ( a famous seer).whatever was choosen it would have to be unique,for a female Snape would never be ordinary.

I'm actually working on a fanfiction story where Severus has a daughter. I named her Selene. I didn't give her middle name though.

No. Severus would not give his daughter the name of his great love. He didn't like when Dumbledore spoke Lily's name and talked about her after her death so he wouldn't do that, because that would be too painful. He wouldn't have kids, but if he had I supposed that the girl's name would be unusual like Severus Snape is.

If he knew japanese, he would name her Hana(flower) because maybe she would be his precious little bulaklak xD or Nayia means Diamond. Or maybe Serena xD

Well, I've been thinking over this and I agree that naming his daughter Lily would just be kinda awkward, but could possibly be a middle name.

But something madami say, Celtic, old rune "Lord of the Rings"-ish kinda of name, like Elka or Ruan

Or possibly just something sweet and pretty like Amanda or Carly...I mean this is his daughter guys...probably the only kid he'll ever enjoy being around, naming her something sweet would seem fitting for a man who has been searching for happiness and just leading up to a dead end each time, If Severus is anything like my Dad (which he is a lot like, My Dads an extreme git) Than his daughter would be a light in his life...and he would tell her so constantly.
Also, I think it would be hilarious that had one of her surnames be Brian, For Dumbledore! hahaha

Someone else mentioned the name Serena, which I really like. Personality-wise, my daughter (not named Serena) could be his daughter. She's got a frighteningly similar hairstyle, and can shut up her classmates w/one withering glare. She also despises idiots, so yes! We really get along.

i have actually done a fanfic on Snape having a daughter, and I've called her Estelle Snape because i think he would want her name to be something beautiful and innocent.

I think her name would be something like Lily Ann Snape because even if he didn't get over lily I think he'd probably name his daughter after her or if not lily than probably name make her name something that would probably be different like Queenie Harriet magnoliya Snape
