So a lot of the time I find myself rping with more female characters than male character.
THERE ARE REASONS FOR THAT.
First off though I’d like to point out that I am not…
~ A brony
~ homo/bi-sexual
~ An anime/and/or/hentai fan (EW)
~ in need of a girlfr-… okay maybe, but that doesn’t count X{D

Aside from that the first reason why I rp with girl characters so often is…
1.    Popularity
Of my many characters the only popular guy characters I have (Note: Not using Mobius Academy: Evolution characters because that deals more with who is around than popularity) are
~ Ryft
~ Dave
~ … I think that’s it.
Seriously, that’s it. Those are my most recognized characters. And while Craiger and Logan do pop up a bit, they don’t come up very often.
Most of the time when I rp, people usually want me to use my more popular characters, and name them as well. They usually say
~ RYNK (obviously X{D)
~ Rin
~ Kenfi
~ Slender (kind of doesn’t count, but whatever)
~ Mel
~ Holly
~ Virus
ALL OF THOSE ARE GIRLS! Maybe it’s because I develop my female characters more (I don’t know if that’s true) or maybe it’s because I draw girl characters more (because I find it easier). Either way, this is what they ask for, and so this is what I give.
2.    IDENTITIES
If you don’t know much about the identities, only one-fifth of them are male. Why? Because there are at least three-million ORIGIN Identities (except for Kae) that are female, and only the OFFSPRING Identities can be guys or girls. So when I want to rp using an identity it’s VERY hard to find one that isn’t a girl. I mean, I doubt most people would choose me using Ryft over Rin. Why? Because Rin is SUPER popular with a lot of rps and such.
“Then why not make it so there’s a lot of guy identities?” I’m glad you asked that, myself (O_O). If I was to switch it and make most of the identities male, I would have to COMPLETELY re-think the origin of the identities, and the origin of Virus, which goes back MILLIONS of years, and involves MALE love-interests along the way. That and I seriously doubt you’d want Kenfi or PPE to be GUYS.
3.    Girls are easier.
Being a guy in my teen-years, I am, like other guys, obsessed with girls, whether I like it or not. I may not show it on the outside (or maybe I do, I dunno) or I might not show it in an rp (too nerdy that way X{D), so I show it by rping with female characters to substitute. Seems a bit weird, but I doubt the alternative would be… moral.
4.    GUYS GET NO LOVE
When I try to do stuff with my guy characters, like when it comes to hinting in flirting, or when fighting, they get stomped on by the other person. I guess it’s because they’re male that makes people more hostile towards them. Like if it was a girl character going *jabs a sword at you* the person would probably go *grabs her arm* or *AGH! Falls back in pain*, but if it’s a guy they might go *dodges attack* Even if it hit or saying “You can’t do that.” So because of this I use girl characters a lot more often than guys.
5.    THEY CHOOSE THE GIRL CHARACTERS MORE OFTEN.
Like in recent rps (EYES THAT SHINE) there’s sometimes an option where you can choose the guy or the girl. Mostly they choose the girl. It relates to the popularity factor. It doesn’t matter if you’re a guy or a girl, if the character is a girl or a guy, people will most-likely choose the girl, because it gives them a better chance at a cross-over couple with the girl character. I don’t see why. The guy character seems just as nice in my opinion.

Now I’m not saying this is how it always is. When I rp with people like “Silveranime122” or “Gracethefox” or some others that go unlisted (sorry), they like rping with my guy characters, or both guy and girl characters, so it isn’t CONSTANT, but for those who were wondering why I’m always using girl characters, THAT IS WHY. My five reasons.
