Tiny and Nat got to Nat's house shortly after the incident. Nat was inside bandaging herself up. " What happened?" Crystal asked, helping her. " I ran into Scar and Selena and Selena wanted to take me hostage." Nat said. " Why didn't she?" Flare asked. " It's the strangest thing. I was against a tree, surrounded sa pamamagitan ng fire, and about to get roasted sa pamamagitan ng that pyromaniac, when Scar dumped a bucket of water on her." Nat said, putting away the bandages. " He what?!" Flare said, shocked. " I know. He had a look of fear in his face too, like he didn't want me to get hurt." Tiny shook her head," that is strange," then something came to her mind," maybe he-" Tiny got interrupted sa pamamagitan ng a knock on the door. She answered it and it was Oliver and Chrome," You won't believe what we got!" Chrome said. They walked in and Tiny closed the door. Chrome pulled some tickets out of his pocket," These are tickets to the biggest pagbabalatkayo ball in the whole town!" He looked at Nat and asked," What happened?" " Scar and Selena, nothing big." Tiny jumped in," What about this ball is so important?" She asked," It's where a whole bunch of people dress up and wear masks to a sort of dance. You go into a huge room and meet new people without knowing their identities because of their masks." Nat explained. " Yeah, and I got us all tickets! One for you Nat, Tiny, Rose, Crystal, and me." He sinabi handing them a ticket. Flare marched to Chrome," No fair! Why can't I go?" " Because it's only for teenagers and up and you're only ten." Nat said. " That's not fair." Flare pouted. " I know, adults get to have all the fun." Oliver said. Crystal walked to Flare," What if you have your own pagbabalatkayo ball here at the house? Kids only." Crystal suggested. Flare looked at her mom," you mean it? But won't you miss out on the mask ball?" Crystal smiled," I've been to many in my younger days. That's also how I met your father." She said. "Wow. Cool! Come on Oliver, let's get Nikki and Thorn and to create our own masks!" Flare sinabi and the two ran from the room to get supplies. " I'm not going. I don't like to wear dresses or make up or any of that junk." Nat sinabi sticking out her tongue. " We can't go without you!" Tiny proclaimed and Chrome said,"'That is why this is the biggest pagbabalatkayo ball of the year! It always has the same theme, be yourself. You can go as whatever you want." Flare ran back to the room," besides, you have to go, because we're having our ball here and it's no adults aloud. Except for mom." Nat sighed," Fine, but I probably won't enjoy it. Have you told Rose yet?" Nat asked. There was another knock on the door and it was Thorn and Rose. Thorn looked excited. " I have a feeling she knows." Chrome chuckled. " When is it?" Tiny asked," This Friday, as in two days from now." Chrome said. " Then we better get busy!" Nat sinabi and they left.
~At The Wicked Ones lair~
Selena stomped in, mad at what happened in the forest. Scar came in after her, carrying the two buckets of water. Bard noticed Selena," There you two are! We've been thirsty for an hour! What happened to you?" He asked as Selena stormed by. She pointed at Scar, who was putting down the water," I was close to getting a hostage when mud for brains over there decides to pour a bucket of water on me!" she said, in an angry voice and marched to her room. "What?! Scar!!" Bard yelled and Scar gave the water to Nook and ran to Bard," Why did you do that?!" Bard screamed at him. " She threatened to kill her!" Scar screamed back. " So? She threatens to kill you all the time and she never killed you or any of us." Cliff said, butting in. " She was serious. She doesn't care if she died or not!" Scar said. " So what? One person dies, big woop. Why do you care Scar?" Bard asked. " I, um...I-I don't want someone's death on my hands!"He yelled and stomped to his room. He slammed the door and it shook his dresser, making a locket fall off. He immediately noticed and picked up the locket. He looked at it for any damages and then opened it. He smiled, closed the locket, and put it in his dresser.
