No, the fact that you have never read the books or seen the lord of the rings pelikula is not an issue. The books give you madami info but you don't have to read them to see the movies. I saw the first two Harry Potter pelikula before I read the books. I hope this helps you.

No. Actually I literally knew nothing about The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings until I saw The Hobbit and then I watched Lord of the Rings and read the books.
It's a good idea to start pagbaba the books and watching the LotR pelikula though since they are amazing and you'll understand more.

Well, I do find that abit strange that you haven't seen any of the other movies, but the thing about the books is quite normal for many people. Well, except for me. I do believe that to become a devoted tagahanga you must do all those things, but you shouldn't worry about it because you're just starting out. :)

I have not seen any of the pelikula (if it´s not counted when I watched part of LotR when I was very young and I can´t remember much about it) but I have read The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. I will read The Return of the King next. I also read part of Silmarillion...

No, it is not an issue, but I do think you are missing out! I would advise you to read the Hobbit first, and then read/watch the Lord of the Rings. I absolutely loved the books - they are a literacy marvel in my mind - and I really truly recommend your pagbaba of them.
