My world went black.
I thought for sure I was dead.
But I heard myself breathing. I heard the voices of people around me. I heard the word “coma” repeatedly sa pamamagitan ng the doctors and nurses. I heard Ponyboy and Two-Bit’s voice.
And then I heard her voice. (Y/N)’s voice. I heard her crying, talking to me. About the gang, her day, reading, whatever. Sometimes softly pag-awit to herself.
One araw I squeezed her hand, and she was laughing and crying all at the same time.
“I pag-ibig you Johnny.” She whispered. “Just wake up.”
I tried so hard to answer her, but no words came out. I wanted to tell her I was ok, I would make it out of this, even though I would be paralyzed, I’d be fine. We’d be fine.
But all I can do now is squeeze her hand.

Darry and Dally looked at (Y/N) from the couch. She was talking with Soda on the front porch, smiling, laughing at what he said. They both thought you had a beautiful laugh, and that you were completely adorable.
Darry was jealous of Soda, he thought he could take better care of you, provide a better life.
Dally thought he could protect you more, and pag-ibig you better.
Their hearts both broke as Soda leaned down to halik you.

Their hearts both broke as Soda leaned down to halik you.
You groan and turn over. You had the flu. You were really sore, tired, and cold. You thought nothing could make you feel better.
“Hey, (Y/N), you hungry?” Your boyfriend Soda asks from the doorway.
You shake your head. “I’m just cold.” You sniffle.
“Well that can be fixed.” He says smiling.
He gets onto the bed, and snuggles close to you, and puts all the blankets on tuktok of you.
“Soda, you’re gonna get sick and…”
“I don’t care… All I care about is you, and that you’re gonna feel better.”
The cars zoomed by.
“This makes me so nervous.” you say.
“Why?” Soda asks, smiling.
“What if the cars blow up, and we die? Or what if they crash? Or-“
“Hey it’s going to be fine,” He interrupts you. “Have some popcorn.”
“But what if I’m eating papkorn and the cars blow up and we die?”
“Then I’ll blow up and die eating papkorn with the girl I love.”
And he kisses you on the lips.
“Darry, how do you feel about kids?” You ask.
“About having kids?” He asked. You were nervous.
“Yeah.”
“I’ve never told anyone this really… But it’s been my goal in life to be a better father figure than I ever was to Soda or Ponyboy… I thought I did a good job, but I know I could’ve done better.” He scratches his neck. “So yeah I’d want to have kids.”
“Well that’s good.” You smile.
“Why?” He asks. “You aren’t…” He starts, but then looks at you. “You are aren’t you?” His smile lights up the whole room.
You nod your head. He picks you up in a big madala hug.
“Daddy, do I look ok?” Grace asks. I put down my newspaper to look at my 15 taon old daughter. Wow.
“You look beautiful, sweetheart.” It pained me to see her going on her first date. But I was smiling.
“I’ll be good, Daddy, I promise.”
I grin. Exactly what her mother sinabi to her dad on our first date.
“I know.” I manage to say. “You’re a good kid.”
“Not like Faith,” Grace grins. Oh my Faith. Nine years old and already had a “boyfriend”. She was completely hilarious.
“Not like Faith.” I smile.
I get up off the sopa to give her a hug.
“I pag-ibig you Daddy.”
“Love you too, sweetheart.”
“You’re still going to be the first boy I fell in pag-ibig with.”

Darry’s P.O.V
“Daddy?” Danny asks from the back seat. He was six now, and Olivia was one.
“What happened to your mommy and daddy?” He asks.
I don’t answer for a minute, just keep driving. What do I say?
“My mommy and daddy are hanging out in heaven.” Is all I can think of to say.
“They’re partying with Jesus?” Danny asks. “That’s cool!”
“Yeah, bud,” I smile. “Partying with Jesus.”
“Yes I do.” She says in that you’ve-told-me-a-million-times voice.
“Ok… Well are you sure you want to do this?” I ask nervously.
“I’m positive.” She says as she gives me a quick halik on the lips.
“I swear, if you hurt yourself…” I shake my head.
The motorcycle starts, and goes forward. Instead of going with the motorcycle., she flips off backwards from it.
I immediately rush to (Y/N).
“Oh my god, (Y/N), are you ok? Are you hurt? Where are you hurt?” I say, head spinning. If she’s hurt badly I’ll just…
“Dally I’m fine.. The motorcycle-“
“Steve can fix the motorcycle. Are you ok? Where are you hurt? Do we need to go to the hospital?”
“Dally I’m fine!” She laughs.
“You worry me,” I say, as I scoop her into a hug.
You aren’t exactly sure what you’re humming to… But it’s something.
“Hey, (Y/N), have you seen my-” “THUD!” You rip open the paliguan curtain to see your boyfriend had tripped over the doorway.
“Oh my god, Two-Bit, are you ok?!?” You gasp.
He looks up at you. “Oh my god you’re in the shower!” He yells.
You yank the curtain back, covering yourself up.
“Two-Bit, are you ok honey?”you ask.
“After seeing that I’m not.” He says. “Damn, your beautiful.” He says, blushing.
“What a pig.” You laugh.
“(Y/N), please stay out of this.” Darry says, eyes still locked on his younger brother.
“She has a point.” Ponyboy snorts.
“Don’t use that tone with me, young man.” Darry says, voice raised.
“Who went and made you dad?” Ponyboy asked, shrugging his shoulders.
“You take that back.” Darry says, lunging for Ponyboy.
They start beating up on each other, nothing serious. Brothers will be brothers.
“Hey! Knock it off!” You say, trying to separate them on the ground.
Smack!
You fall back, the hit getting you hard.
The boys freeze, realizing they’ve hit you.
“Ow!” You say. “That was my boob!”
They burst out laughing.
“Oh my god, Steve. Your eye.” You say as you remove the ice pack.
“It’s just bump.” He grins.
“A bump? Honey, it’s a huge black eye. It’s madami like an egg.” You say.
“Old Man can still pack a punch, huh?”
“Steve, you need to get out of there.” You say matter-of-factly.
“I got nowhere to go.”
“You can stay with the Curtises. Or me. I just don’t like seeing you hurt.” You whisper.
“I’d rather it be me than you.” He says.
“What?” He asks, glancing over at you.
“You’re gonna get pulled over,” you say, rolling your eyes.
“Do you think I’d care?” He laughed.
“Dallas Winston, I am shocked and appalled you just sinabi that to me and ran that red light.” You laugh. “I’m horrified at your driving skills. Remind me not to get into a car with you again.”

Light cracked the sky open. The crash that followed jolted you awake. You sit up in your bed, wide eyed with fear.
You had been afraid of thunderstorms since you were little… something about it just frightened you to no end.
The sound of your boyfriend breathing calmed you down. The rhythmic deep breathing soothed you, only for a second.
Another crack lit up the sky, with a giant boom that followed.
“Dally.” you shake your boyfriend awake.
“Babe… what’s the ma-” He stops as he sees your eyes, wide with fear. He sits up straight and wraps his arms around you pulling you close. “You’re fine… You’re fine.” He whispers, rocking you back and forth. “I got you. I promise. I got you.” Hands running through your hair.
“I just don’t like them.” You mumble into his bare chest.
“I know. I know.” He say. “But I still got you. I promise.”
But you were already asleep again.
