Okay! The book is about a young boy named Danny. America's birthday has arrived and there is a dance. Danny and his mga kaibigan are only eleven, so they believe they are going to be the youngest ones at the dance. When they got there, they found out that there were many children their age there. Danny's mga kaibigan already found girls to dance with during a slow song, but Danny is all alone. Then he found Madison, but he calls her Red (because of her long, beautiful, red hair). When Danny wishes to meet her parents, she refuses and runs away. He finally figured out where she lived. A woman greeted him at her tahanan with a door slammed to the face. He sees a picture of Red on her pader and says, "May I please see Madison?" And she says, "Madison has been dead for 10 years." Tears begin to flow out of her eyes. Danny thinks shes mistaken. "Ma'am! I danced with her just a few nights ago!" She gives him a strange look and slams the door again.
