One book or a trilogy?

I'm currently Pagsulat a book and I don't know if I should make it one book or a trilogy. I'd like to make it a trilogy, but I'm not sure they would be long enough. One book would be about 200-250 pages. What are your thoughts?

Honestly, I feel like trilogies and series are overdone at the moment. I'd much rather read a really strong standalone novel than an average/good trilogy.

I'd rather read one good book than 3, because madami often then not I'll only get around to pagbaba the first one. And if I do read the rest of the series I always forget what happened in the first book.
