I awoke to the sound of doctors running rampant.
“How did he near death?”
“Why did he do it?”
“Was it suicide?” All of these tanong ran through my room. I opened my eyes, I was back in the mental institution. I looked over at my left arm. A cast ran from my wrist to my elbow. I remembered taking the meds, but I didn’t remember breaking my arm. I wonder how that happened.
“Dr. Demidov, how are you feeling?” A tall, thin man asked. He wore glasses, and he had black, graying hair.
I gave myself a quick once over, and looked back over him. “Just peachy,” I sinabi sarcastically.
“Wonderful,” This man was chipper. “Can you tell me why you did it?” He asked. My brain stalled out.
“Did what?”
“Took the Tylenol and Nyquil,” he said. “You clearly knew the effects of it.”
I nodded my head. It hurt, because I was stiff. “Oh, uh, I don’t-I don’t know,” I said. I did know, but he didn’t need to know.
“If you remember anything, please, tell me,” he said. “Is there anything else you would like to talk about?”
There was only one thing on my mind. Only one thing that I cared about. “Where is Dr. Laveney?” The man just stared at me for a moment. “You didn’t know?”
“Didn’t know what,” my puso raced and I started shaking.
“Dr. Laveney reassigned you. He sinabi something about an emotional connection. I’m your new psychiatrist, Dr. White,” he smiled. I wasn’t for sure, but I felt like a horrified expression was on my face. I shook my head.
“I-I don’t want you!” I shouted. “Bring Dr. Laveney back!”
“I’m sorry, Damien. I can’t; he has already reassigned you. Maybe if you would’ve woke up sooner-”
I cut him off, “It doesn’t matter when I woke up. Get Dr. Laveney back!” The man looked at me. His expression was mortified. I must’ve sounded really upset. Dr. White nodded, and ran out of the room.
I sat back against my pillows. I was in the same room as before. If Dr. Anozi knew about this he would kick my ass. Alexander was probably thrilled to know I almost died. I sighed and put my head in my hands. I started to cry. I wanted Alexander here beside of me, but it wouldn’t happen. He wanted me gone, so why would he come back?

No other doctor dared to step in my room for the rest of the evening. I sat and looked out of the window for most of the day. I didn’t feel like getting up and going to my office to get a book.
I fell asleep that night crying. I missed Alexander. I didn’t know if I would ever see him again.
