"What are you doing here," Allie asked.

"To give you a segundo chance," the angel replied.

"Why," Allie asked.

"Look around you," the angel said. "What do you see?"

Allie looked around her room and said, "I see a mess."

"Correct. Is this really how you want to live the rest of your life," the angel asked.

"No," Allie stated.

"Come on Allie," the man called from somewhere in the house. "It's time for school."

"Morning sleepy-head," Dad sinabi with a smile as he walked toward her.

Instinctively she back up for some reason. She wasn't sure why she, but she just did.

Dad looked at her curiously and said, "What's wrong, sweetie?"

"Nothing Daddy," Allie replied, giving her father a hug.

"What's going on," Allie asked, looking up at the man.

"Your segundo chance," the man replied. "This is your chance to turn things around for yourself and family. You have knowledge of the future and knowledge way beyond any six taon old has ever had, but use it wisely and only when needed."

"Why do I get segundo chance," Allie asked.

"You've earned it. You spent your whole life miserable, but remained good and pure. Now you have a chance to live the life you've always dreamed of having," the man explained. "Remember to use your knowledge very wisely and do good with it."

"What if something happens that I don't know," Allie asked.

"You will think of it as a learning experience," the man stated.

When it came time for silent pagbaba in class, Allie read one of the chapter books from begining to end.

"Now class I want you to write a paragraph on what you read," the teacher sinabi as she stood in front of the class. "Who here remembers the number of sentences that is in a usual paragraph?"

Allie raised her hand and waited to be called on.

"Allie," the teacher said, pointing at her.

Allie stood up and said, "A paragraph has four to five sentences in it, Ms. Blough."

"That's correct, Allie," Ms. Blough stated. "Thank you."

Allie sat down, then set to work Pagsulat about what she read, but instead of one paragraph, she wrote two.

When Ms. Blough came to collect the class' papers, she looked at Allie's and said, "I am very impressed, you went above and beyond what I asked."

Allie just smiled with pride.

I am from a dad who showed me pag-ibig –till I turned four
--A navy man with no madami room for me
To burned bridges with family, mga kaibigan and loved ones

From the chilly blue ocean, days spent at the golden beach,
And time spent hiding from the world

From days spent with despair and wishes for death
To days with unending laughter and forced smiles

The hopes of tomorrow being destroyed
And memories that become tarnished

From helping raise four younger siblings
And growing up too fast
To begging my friend not to die

From my tears, joy, and fears
To finding the Father who always loved me

From being too terrified...

While my puso beats in tune with the rolling static hills on the metal screen
I lay on my deathbed reflecting on my life
I can say I had a good one although it was filled to the brim with tidal waves of hurt
I laughed in delight while running through the golden fields embracing the open skies and wearing a halo of warm sunshine
I climbed trees and swam in the salty Esmeralda sea
But Moma was always working hard at the kainan filling out orders for sugary milkshakes and greasy fries
And brother Tim was always out too late fixing old radios who sang...
