Chapter 2
"Please! Please! Please!" I begged. My parents exchanged glances, then looked back at me.
"You want a lemur, Mana?" Mr. Walker asked.
"Yes! Please! I'll take really good care of her!" I pleaded.
"How much would it cost to take care of it?" Mrs. Walker asked.
"Well, they eat fruit, and not much because they're so small. Plus, this lemur was circus trained, so she shouldn't need anything special."
"What about health, and the veterinarians?"
"I'll turn 12 in a week, so I can babysit madami often. I can use that money to pay for the vet's bill," I said, really having no idea. I just agreed to give my free time up for watching kids sleep!
My parents did another exchange of glances.
"We'll think about it."
Great. Now I had to wait. Just great.
The week passed sa pamamagitan ng quickly. My parents never mentioned Lizabell. Before I knew it, it was my birthday.
It was a Sunday, so I was able to sleep in. I was sound asleep until [i] someone [i/] knocked on my door.
I opened one eye. Mrs. walker stepped in my room. She was holding something grey and fluffy. I opened my other eye. the grey thing moved and a striped tail spilled out.
"Mana," Mrs. Walker whispered. "Happy birthday."
I excitedly jumped out of bed, and was soon cuddling with Lizabell.

First off, to those of you that know me, I haven't posted at all in awhile, I'm aware my "Nightfall" series hasn't been updated for those of you that liked it, but since school started back, I have had hardly any time to write anything. I WILL get back to posting on "Nightfall" if anything else for the sake of completion. But I also discovered the marvolous "Fallout" series a few months back, and decided to try to make a novel out of it. For those of you not familiar with the series, "Fallout" is a series of games set in a post-apocyloptic future, and finds a custom made protagonist made customly sa pamamagitan ng the player dealing with life in the now wastelandic USA. My story is loosely based off "Fallout 3" but with major differences along the way, so the story is original in that aspect. If you guys will read the story, I will make it as adaptable as I can for those who are not familiar with it. Please leave comments, so I know whether or not I should post it. Thank you. -AdamK
Your puso is sore, crippled up like paper.
Your voice is weak, barely passing sa pamamagitan ng you.
Your body is tired, let it lay for tonight.
You are but you- a stranger to much.
No one cares to know you.
They do not wish to after all.
And all those times you told everything-
It was a lie, I pag-ibig you became a lie. A horrible lie not one can ever take back to you. How could they, breaking your very soul to the apple's wrinkled core? It shook and broke, just like that. Lonesome and ever so exhausted of even thinking it would be different this time around.
You're so hopeless. You probably cannot ilipat away from the pain, the desecration left in the path at the end. Then again, in the end it probably doesn't even matter, does it?
Once a joy, now a misery forever scared, alone.
