A Cranky pasko (A 2 Days Remaining Special) Chapter Twelve

Chapter Twelve-

Venice, Italy
18:28 CET December 19

Wally stumbled into the lab, screeching to a halt at the sight of a ragged woman tied to a board above a pit of acid.

Artemis ran in behind him, cutting her fussing short at the site of her mother.

"Artemis! Run! It's a trap!" Artemis's mother replied.

"I knew that." Artemis said, swinging her bow up at a barely noticeable shadowy figure. "Come out Cheshire."

The young assassin stepped out of the shadows, her infamous mask shining in the harsh light of the lab.

"Hey there, Artemis." Cheshire sneered.

Wally slowly backed up.

"Get out of the way." Artemis said, palaso notched at the assassin.

"Sorry, not my style." Cheshire said, unsheathing her sword.

Wally dashed pasulong and snatched Cheshire's mask off her face. He dashed back to Artemis, tossing the mask on the ground.

"Hey," he said, looking back and forth between the two females. "Did anyone ever mention you two look a lot a like?"

A cold feeling settled in Artemis's stomach. It didn't help when Cheshire sinabi "Of course, we're sisters."

While that revelation stopped Wally, making him attempt to process it, Cheshire threw a smoke bomb. It detonated, knocking Wally out.

Cheshire jumped through the smoke cloud, knocking Artemis's bow out of her hand and throwing something at her feet.

Artemis stumbled back, ripping off the ruined boot.

"Oh, that does it." she said.

"Piece of cake." Barry said, dusting his uniform off.

The other members of the rescue team glared at him. While his super speed had caused him to not even have a scratch, most other bayani had many bruises and wounds.

From up in the air, the marks from the earlier fight had made a warning mark. It was Robin's symbol but a sword was “drawn” through the infamous “R”. Megan grabbed Becca in her arms, taking them down to the ground slowly.
“Megan! Let me go! I have to find him!”

I found myself walking with Conner Kent, a sun glasses-wearing Dick Grayson, Megan M'Orz, Artemis Crock, Kalder and Wally West. I wasn't sure where we were going but I'm guessing I was on the team. I then discovered we were going to an Amusment Park...
I got on some spinny ride with Artemis. And it was weird.
