I wrote this today... I'm worried the actual YJ characters I used seem out of character though ^^; My apologies if they are. Any how, this is just kind of an introduction to Mila's life as a crime fighting high school student. C: I don't know whether I'll continue this or not.

She crouched low on the apoy escape, readying herself for the gang's arrival. She could hear the voices in the distance. This was Mila's first planned vigilante act. Prior to this night, she would scout out muggers or other walang tiyak na layunin crimes. She was her first big sting.

She could see four men approaching the ally way adjacent with the warehouse. They were carrying a large crate. Perfect. Hiring that informant had paid off. She swiftly got to her feet, creeping into the shadows to keep her stealth advantage.

She stood amongst the shadows, waiting for the men to be on lower guard, then she quickly made her move. She sprinted towards the closest man, igniting her fist before punching the man just below his ribs. She could hear his flesh sizzle for a moment before the man let out a howl of pain. She spun around as the man keeled other, kicking the legs out from under one of the other men. Once she had finished downing the four men, she made her way towards the crate. It was funny that the informant had never actually told her what was in them... Oh well, it didn't matter now. She'd know momentarily.

Suddenly Mila felt something collide with the back of her head. She keeled pasulong from the sudden pain. She spun around, trying to keep her wits about her. Her vision was still spotty from the blow, but she could make out the figure of a man. Damn it. There were only supposed to have been four!

Mila lurched forward, attempting to ignite her fists once more, but found herself unable to. She'd simply have to rely on her kickboxing skills. She threw a manuntok at the man, which he easily dodged before bringing his knee up to slam against her ribs. She cried out in pain, hearing a crack before falling to her knees.

The man laughed. "You should pick your informants madami carefully susunod time sweetheart. The thing about a bad informant is they'll sell ya out for a higher price" he grinned "unfortunately for you, there ain't gonna be a susunod time." He forcefully pushed her to the ground with his foot, causing her face to grind against the pavement. She could taste the metallic flavour of blood filling her mouth.

She was expecting another blow, but it never came... She heard something whiz through the air and then a cry of pain from her would be executioner. What was going on?!

Mila forced herself to her feet, gingerly grasping her newly broken ribs, looking about frantically. Something red whizzed sa pamamagitan ng her head, hitting the thug who'd attacked her yet again, this time pinning him to the brick pader lining the alley way. Whipping her head back around to where what she had now determined was some weird palaso had come from, she saw the figure of another man approaching her. He was carrying a bow.

She leaned against the alley pader to support herself, all the while glaring at the man approaching. She didn't think he'd hurt her because he'd saved her, but she knew better than to let her guard down. "What do you want?" she called out hoarsely.

"Is that any way to greet someone who just saved your life?" the man responded. He put his bow on his back and stopped walking. He was now standing in front of her. He was actually quite young.

"I could have gotten out of that myself. I didn't need your help." Mila replied defensively, crossing her arms, loosely across her chest to avoid doing any further damage to her ribs.

"you were eating the pavement." he responded cooly

"I sinabi I didn't need your help!" this was ridiculous. She didn't need some freak who still insisted on using something as primitive as a bow and palaso following her about and keeping an eye on her. "I don't have time for this. I have places I need to be." she turned as quickly as her injuries would allow her and began to limp away.

"Mila." the man called after her. she froze. How did this guy know her name?! "I've come on a favour to the Justice League of America. You need to stop."

she turned back around. "That still doesn't explain why you know my name! And stop what? Ive been doing this for two and a half years without incident"

"You've been doing this for two years with little to no training and without the knowledge of your parents... Not to mention the long listahan of injuries your hospital records have shown during your time fighting."

She scoffed. Who did this guy think he was? The league didn't have a monopoly on heroism. Now that he'd stepped madami clearly into the light, she vaguely recognized him... "This coming Green Arrow's side kick." she sinabi raising a brow. "what's your name... palaso Boy or something?"she withheld a smirk. She had CLEARLY touched a nerve according to his facial expression.

"It's Red Arrow! And I am not his or anyone else's side kick. I'm only here on a favour to the League."

"Whatever. I need to get home" She began to limp away. It was almost three in the morning and if she didn't leave now, her absence would be noticed.

Red palaso let out an exasperated sigh. "Look, I have orders to bring you back with me." he easily caught up with her, and put a hand on her shoulder to prevent her from walking any further. "It's for your own safet- Gaaah!" Roy's eyes widen as he felt a sudden sharp shock of electricity course through his body. Mila pulled her tazor away from his side and tucked it back into her belt. Red palaso had crumpled to the ground and was now glaring at her wordlessly.

"Oh stop being such a baby. That wasn't even full voltage. I DID tell you I had to go" she shrugged as she began to take her leave once again. She stopped for a moment, looking back over her shoulder. "Tell the League I to mind their own business. Maybe there would be less crime if they stopped harassing people who're working against it and actually did their jobs" and with that, she limped back into the shadows and made her way home.
