Kevin williamson stated the ipakita is all about Stelena, because they're sooo epic. does this mean the end of Delena dream?

I completely agree. If Stelena are paired at the end,it would be a very disappointing act as apparently, Delena are the hottest couple on the ipakita for me.! I really wanted a halik to happen between Delena after the first few episodes but although it happened at the end,it was electrifying.(although it was Katherine,but still). Damon and Elena have awesome chemistry and i really hope they come together in the end. period.

It's impossible to say if Stefan and Elena will end up together or not at this stage, because between now and the final season a million different things could happen. A lot of people have already mentioned Dawson's Creek: a ipakita that initially started with Dawson and Joey but ended with Joey and Pacey. If you had asked Kevin during the first season of DC who would end up together, you can bet that he would answered Joey and Dawson. Don't believe for a minuto that the writers and producers have everything figured out. They don't. They have 22 episodes per taon to write for another 5 years at least. To say that the ipakita is all about S/E is at best naive and at worst, presumptious. I don't think it is at all. If I'm completely honest, I think the ipakita is all about Damon. He's become the break-out star, the character who garners the most praise from reviewers and critics, who gets all the best lines and steals every scene. Kevin and Julie know this. They would be fools not to. Equally, they would be fools not to take advantage of this. Damon is what draws the majority of the audience in, Elena is the female lead...you do the math. When fans have been anticipating their first kiss, (never mind pag-ibig scene) before they've even become a couple, then that kind of says it all. Whether they know it or not (and I think they do), the producers have struck TV ginto dust. Delena have the potential to become the hottest thing on TV since forever, and with that, record numbers of ratings and generally making the ipakita even madami talked about than it is now.
To put Stefan and Elena together at the end would be completely cliched. For all the reasons why they should be together I believe there are much stronger ones in support of Delena. As fans, I honestly think we should take everything Kevin, Julie and TPTB say with a pinch of salt, because they can go back on their word whenever they like. I believe that if Delena become madami popular, madami talked about and one of the show's strongest points, then Kevin will be forced to do some serious back-pedalling.

Ahh CLICHE. That's the word I forgot to include before. ITA. SE would be the ultimate cliche. I also agree with all your reasons of why DE are the stronger pairing. They are in my opinion as well. But as to KW backpedalling; I don't think he will have to. Yes, he called SE "soulmates" but have you ever heard his definition of a soulmate? He doesn't necessarily consider soulmates as needing to be together romantically: Read this (it was on the Dawson's Creek DVD commentary but he's sinabi it madami than once) KW: "I wanted to make it clear, my vision of a soulmate & it goes beyond romantic pag-ibig & beyond friendship" So I really think he spoke carefully with his words when he discussed SE. I can see him pointing out his vision if anyone ever questioned it. Anyway, I'm talking too much here. lol Awesome article. Thanks so much for sharing!

Damon and Elena will never be together. It's against the usual pattern in American series, and I don't think The Vampire Diraies will take a risk like that. Yes, there will be a lot of "Delena" scenes, but they'll never be together like Stefan and Elena.

I completely agree about seeing TVD and Twilight as 2 different things instead of comparing them constantly. I see Twilight (when you view the saga as a whole) as a modern araw fairytale - girl travels to far away town, is saved sa pamamagitan ng prince, fall in pag-ibig and have to overcome many obstacles before they can restore peace to their kingdom and live happily ever after. I was never convinced sa pamamagitan ng the pag-ibig tatsulok either, I always knew Bella would pick Edward. It's not really a pag-ibig tatsulok if you can predict how it's going to end. About Skate, yes I agree that they were the stronger couple and I was very disappointed Kate ended up with Jack, though not at all surprised. I noticed when watching Sky's tuktok 10 Nawawala scenes as voted sa pamamagitan ng viewers that not one of Jate's kiss/romantic scenes made it into the final 10, and thought it was very telling that Skate's Season 3 pag-ibig scene was No. 4. I think TVD fans are too fixated on what will be 'end game' - and if you become too obsessed with how a story will end, you can't enjoy the journey properly. For me, it's about the journey. Whether DE end up together or not, their journey will be amazing, their scenes together will be the most memorable and that's what matters. I've often thought that the final episode of a show's final series tends to be kind of lacklustre because everyone has to be happy, and after I watch how it ends I get a brick-wall feeling, like nothing madami can happen to them. I would rather have a tragic ending where everybody died or ended on a cliffhanger instead of a cliched 'S and E got married, D moved away and met X...and they all lived happily ever after'. That's SO boring and predictable, and TVD is anything but.

that' what i'm said. I remember the "soulmates" crap of Dawson/Joey, gosh the most boring couple ever!i think it's too soon to talk about endgame, just enjoy every scene and hope!:)
