Author's Note: And here's the susunod chapter. I also want to thank SaturdaySurpris for reviewing. Enjoy!

Private and I walked back to the zoo. “So,” asked Private, “how was it?”

I grinned at him. “Amazingly delicious.”

He beamed. “See, everybody likes snow cones.”

I laughed. “You were right, Private. Race you back to the zoo.”

I took off sliding. He ran a little before launching himself. “Not fair!” yelled Private. “You got a head start!”

We arrived, laughing, at the ibong dagat habitat. “Uh oh,” sinabi Private, sliding to a stop.

I followed his glance to see a very angry looking Skipper. “I agree,” I whispered back.

“Where have you been? You missed training!”

As I opened my beak to defend myself, Private lowered his eyes. “Sorry, Skipper.”

I realized that the words were directed at the young penguin. Without thinking, I defended Private. “It wasn’t his fault,” I said.

Skipper turned to me. “Yes it was,” he answered.

“I asked him to go,” I replied evenly.

Skipper glanced at Private. “Is it true?”

The boy looked at me, fear in his eyes. I nodded once. “Yes, sir,” he mumbled.

Skipper glanced between us and sighed. “Ten laps around the zoo,” he finally said.

With that, he jumped back into the HQ. Private looked at me. “Why did you do that?”
“Do what?”

“Defend me? It was my fault. I asked you if you wanted to get snow cones with me. I should have looked at the time,” he said.

The ibong dagat was nearly in tears. I waddled over to him and patted his back. “Instinct, Private. You reminded me of someone.”

He looked up at me. “Thanks.”

I smiled back. “Come on. I’ll do the laps with you.”

Ten laps later…

“That was refreshing,” I noted.

“Nothing like a swim after a long run,” agreed Private.

He glanced at me. “Nathan? Can I ask you a question?”

“You already did,” I said, smiling.

“I mean another one.”

“Sure, Private. What do you want to know?”

“You sinabi I reminded you of somebody. Who?”

I looked toward the horizon. “You’re a lot like my brother, Private. A lot like him.”

Without waiting for an answer, I climbed down to the HQ.

Note: I’ve typically been Pagsulat notes at the end, but for this case, I must make an exception as to be clear to you, or at least the ones who haven’t read my nakaraan works. I have been thinking about doing a sequel to one of my stories, but never did because I didn’t think I could make anything long and commendable out of it. But with this project, I received some inspiration and motivation to do so in a short story. So, this short is a little sequel to “Skipper’s Curse.” If you haven’t read it before and plan to, be aware that this will contain...

“Reflecting On Doubts”
December 29, 2013

“Hidy-ho, Marlene! Sound off,” Skipper called as he entered Marlene’s cave.

“Right here, Skipper,” Marlene called back.

Skipper found Marlene standing in front of her mirror with an uneasy look in her eye, smoothing back her balahibo and tracing over her cheekbones with her fingers.

“You’ve been cooped up in here all day. Is everything all right, Marlene?” Skipper asked, coming up behind her. Marlene kept her eyes on her complexion.

    “Skipper,...

“Bad Timing”
December 03, 2013

“Hey, Skipper! Where’s the team?” Marlene asked as she entered the HQ.

Skipper shifted between cameras on his surveillance screen. “Oh, they’re out doing some recon while I watch the cameras. Unfortunately, pasko is a time for crime. So, we’re cracking down until the holidays are over. What brings you here?” he replied.

“I was getting a little cold in my habitat and was hoping if it’d be cool if I stayed here until Alice bothered to turn up the heat,” Marlene told him....

Operation: Skilene
Author’s Note:
I started on these a while ago, and have decided to finally ilathala them. Most of these shorts were inspired sa pamamagitan ng a game on fanpop called “What would Skipper say (WWSS) Game” on pages 40-43. Thank you to 27Kowalski (on Fanpop), also known as SierraTangoEcho on deviantArt, for helping me with ideas and scenarios. Credit goes to her for the few drawings. I hope you enjoy pagbaba them as much as I enjoyed Pagsulat them. They are in no particular order, other than the sequence they were written. Please review!

PS, for those following my “Operation: Challenge,”...

Breaking the Rules 08.10.15

“All right,” Kowalski said, shuffling the card deck. “We’re playing a game called ‘Obtenir Encore.’”

Skipper arched a brow. “What?”

“It’s French. Don’t worry about it,” Kowalski said. He dealt four cards to each player. “Dealer goes first and we ilipat counter-clockwise from there,” he explained, picking up his hand and sliding the deck to the center of the table. He studied his cards and placed an ace of spades face-up susunod to the deck.

After studying his cards carefully, Private picked a card and placed a four of diamonds on tuktok of Kowalski’s...

Author’s Note: This is my fifth installment of POM skits. My first was regular link, segundo was link skits, third were link skits, and the fourth showcased link in various antics. For this installment, they will all be humanized scenarios. Any pamagat with a Roman Numeral susunod to it has a skit note associated with it at the end. I hope you enjoy!

41) The King of Rock and Roll [XXI]

Julien strutted down Park Avenue with his manager, Maurice, at his side. He wore a two hundred dollar pair of jeans, a leather dyaket over a purple slim-fit silk polo shirt, and a pair of black Maui Jim sunglasses....

Five Years Later

“Are you nervous?” Laura asked as she adjusted Harold’s cap.

“Nah,” Harold answered with a smile. Laura crossed her arms and gave him a look. “Okay, fine!” Harold admitted. “Maybe a little.”

Laura smiled.

“You’ll do fine. Now, go! They’re waiting for you,” she sinabi ushering him toward the stage.

“And now,” sinabi a man at the podium, “our August Martin High School valedictorian of 2020, Harold Chance!”

Harold smiled and waved at the audience in the auditorium as they applauded.

“Thank you, everyone,” he sinabi into the microphone. The audience silenced...

"It's that it?"

"No, there's still a few left, sir."

"Well? What are they? Give us a list. Rico and I will gather them as soon as he comes back from gathering the last listahan you gave him."

"Sure! Just give me a few moments."

"This had better work, Private. I still say it's a waste of time."

"Don't worry! It will! I just hope that Kowalski is all right with it."

Kowalski paused on his way to the HQ's slightly covered entrance. Bits of conversation had seeped out, and they were not making any sense to the scientist. What were Private and Skipper talking about? That was not the thing what worried Kowalski,...

"Um, Skipper?" Leroy mumbled, looking at the glass fearfully. "Is that supposed to happen?"

Skipper glanced to where Leroy was pointing, his horror growing as webs of cracks began to appear on the glass. Despite the obvious danger they were in, his face only took on disbelief as he continued staring. "I have got to ask Kowalski to make the glass stronger," he said.

Kowalski stared at the growing cracks. "You know something, Skipper?"

"Yes, Kowalski?"

"This has happened twice before," noted Private.

"I was just about to say that," complained Kowalski.

Leroy looked at the three in amazement. "How are...
