Have you ever noticed...?

...how depressing some children nursery rhymes are?
I'm serious. Like Ring around the Rosie?
And London Bridge?

I mean when I was a kid it was all fun but...now...its depressing xD
It got me thinking so I looked some up...*shakes head*

Yeah, Because It's All About What Doom Will Bring And I Think That's The Main Reason Why It's So Depressing To Hear Nursery Rhymes.

I Know! They are all so morbid, i can't believe people have ever sang it to children.
Like the one about the old woman who lived in a shoe (the one that beat and starved her children) and the one with bridges collapsing.
Allot of fairy tails are like that as well, like Little red riding hood and Hansel & Gretal.

How is telling a story about a baby falling from a puno supposed to be comforting?

do u want to know what ring around the rosie means??? too bad im telling u lolz

'ring around the roses' meaning a ring of red flowery dot.
'a pocket full of poses' during the age of the plague, they used posied to keep away the black death.
"a tissue, a tissue" snezz sneez
'we all fall down' we all die.

It was a way to carry on the symptom and the 'cure' for the 'black death' im a history freak lol.

I never sang "a tissue, a tissue", I always sang " ashes, ashes" which was supposed to mean burning bodies

You are right but there's nothing wrong with London Bridge, it's a bridge, falling, bridges fall, what's wrong with that?, but the rest of those nursery rhymes are kinda disturbing

It was based on The great London fire. Allot of those stories had that sort of basis to it. Like how the old woman who lived in a shoe was based on a prostitute with many abused children, and Little red riding was a story about werewolfs (earlier versions even involved canabalism) They are all just plain macabre.
