But no, makeup doesn't make everyone that wears it madami ugly. That's an overgeneralization and really it depends on the individual that uses it. Have you seen Miley Cyrus without makeup? I rest my case.

And to answer your question: No matter who you are, appearence is going to matter to some extent. And some people just like to look the part using makeup.

some girls not all but some girls wear makeup ti hide their uglyness and some wear it to make thm feel pretty wen their already prety without it

i dont see y girls wear make-up but they say it makes them look preety on some it does, on others it lakes look grotesque. but i wouldnt wear make-up cuz i found out in most make-up products are made with urine in it!!! so keep it away from me!

Some girls would wear makeup just because her mga kaibigan are wearing so she wants to wear it....some wear it to impress some boy(I'm sorry putting on makeup for a boy is not even worth it)....and some wear because she wants to feel pretty but true beauty comes within. If you're already naturally pretty, you don't need/have to try too hard.

Girls who wanna wear make up, try not to use a mantikilya kutsilyo when putting it on. It's already terrifying enough that you've decided to wear it....and wear make up because YOU want to and not because of a boy or wearing it just to fit in.

Because some of us think that makeup makes us madami pretty or beautiful(when it doesn't, sometimes just makes us look slutty) and therefor, I do not wear it, nor do I need it.

I only wear makeup to fancy events (proms, weddings, etc.) but not normally.

I think there are a few different sagot to this question.

Some girls wear it to feel madami secure about themselves. See, girls tend to freak out over their appearance, and many girls believe that they are not pretty enough. Many girls believe that all guys look for in a girl is her physical appearance (which, I've found, is only sometimes true, not always). Also, those girls who are beautiful and know it often pag-ibig to rub it in everyone else's faces, making their self esteem drop even lower, until they feel that they are ugly. Thus, they wear makeup to, well, make up for it.

But it's not always like that. Sometimes, girls wear makeup simply because it's "cool." It's like fashion, where so many girls wear the same sort of things just because everyone else is doing it. Or it's like having long hair, in that girls are expected to have long hair or they are considered a freak (like me; I have a pixie cut, and I've gotten lots of crap about it).

Then, there is peer pressure. Girls can be very nasty to each other, so that many people are actually afraid of ipinapakita their individuality. They conform to the norms out of fear. I personally have been told blatantly sa pamamagitan ng many girls that I'm a freak simply because I don't wear makeup.

Finally, some girls do it because they want to ipakita off. I've seen girls in school with the tackiest makeup, because they want to ipakita off. They want to ipakita how cool they are, and they think it'll make madami guys want them, and they want to ipakita that they are sophisticated, and for them, makeup is just a mark of how amazing they are.

So there really is no simple answer. It all depends on a variety of factors. For some girls it's about improving their low self-confidence, for others it's about ipinapakita off. For some girls it's about conforming because it's cool, for others it's about conforming out of fear. And there are madami reasons. It's pretty complicated.

Well excue me but not all girls are like that take me for example I hate make up!

Well I think they just wear it because they want to hide maybe spots etc. or just because they think it makes them look pretty -.-

Sometimes I wonder what goes through there heads!

Some girls over-due it and look like clowns. There's nothing wrong with wearing make-up in my opinion. I don't wear make-up all the time though.

I wear make-up, but not a ridiculous amount :)

i know what make-up does to people's faces, and that it makes girl's faces look ugly, but i wear eye liner, but i don't wear it out in public. first, i do the eye liner, take a pic, and then i quickly and thoroughly clean off the make-up.

I'm a girl and even I agree that sometimes too much makeup looks real bad but if you don't use too much and try to keep as natural as possible then there shouldn't be any prob ^_^
