To be unhealthily obsessed with something.

Well an "unhealthy obsession" is when you go completely nuts over a certain obsession. For an example: Say a person has an unhealthy obsession with the internet. He/she will stay on the internet for ridiculous amounts of time. They won't eat,talk,or do anything else but being on the internet. But this is an extreme case.

You can have an unhealthy obsession without going that far into it. Another example would be you get anything and everything related to that subject you are obsessed with,talk nonstop about it. Basically you eat,drink, breathe your obsession.

That's an unhealthy obsession in a nutshell.
