Are american high-schools really as they portray them in movies?

Not at all. At least at my school. We don't have mean b****es, we don't have jocks giving you wedgies and swirlies in the locker room, none of that stuff. Oh, and people in real life at high school aren't as good-looking as the ones in movies, either. No prejudice that I know of, either(nerd, cool guys, cheerleaders, etc...). Absolutely no bullies.

But most of the time some people from certain groups are mga kaibigan with people who are from other groups so it's not as diverse as pelikula ipakita them to be. They just exaggerate the diversity sometimes.

Depends on the school you got to. Mine was kind of like that but not so pronounced. The groups like those formed but they usually intermixed.

Even decades ago, there was some of that. I think it's gotten progressively worse over the years - especially with the bullying.

Lol. Kind of but not really. The main difference is kids look like kids instead of 20 taon olds playing 15 taon olds. And they're dumb and simple. It's madami like freaks and geeks than other high school shows.

I don't know about the American schools, but they are not like the Canadian schools, not now or even when I was going to school.

pelikula are just exaggerating it when it isn't even close on a lot of things. Real-life high school is just... boring. 😴

My high school was nothing like that. There wasn't even "popular" people. Sure there were tight groups of mga kaibigan but they seemed pretty walang tiyak na layunin when it came to interests. No one was really...'labelled'. I guess some high schools were similar to the movies, but mine was not.

Some are , it just depends on what school you go to .
