Can somebody tell me what living on a college campus with somebody you don't know and away from family is like?

Im finally trying to get back into college. The last college I was at did not have dorms. It was the art institute college. So now I'm kinda planning on going to the unibersidad of North Texas college. It's right between Fort Worth and Dallas and it's a 30-something minuto drive from where I am right now. So this college has this rule for the freshmen. As a freshman, I'm suppose to live on campus, in a dorm, with a roommate and all that jazz. It's not optional. The reason they want us to live on campus as a freshman is because they want us to experience life in college living on a campus since it's our first year. I've never lived away somewhere else (kinda) out of my own tahanan without family before. Me with my disorder, I'm kinda nervous living there with a complete stranger whom I know is also a freshman and we may hopefully become friends. And I kinda don't mind being in a sorority. This is also gonna help me get my weight up because there is a meal schedule everyday. Going to this college is also gonna make me too busy with something else outside of college. Anyway what is campus life like? Especially for somebody like me?

It's actually not so bad. Like I was never really a people person but I got along with my room-mate well enough. We were total opposites though; I sleep and rise early, she slept late and stayed up late. For that we never really talked because I was always asleep or in class when she was awake and out of class.
The only thing that drove me batshit was that she liked it freezing and I like it sauna hot.

Basically if you're an introvert like me, you just gotta fill out the forms they give you with lots of details. But that's just my experience.

As for campus life in general; the school I went to was very friendly. I don't like being off on my own and stuff but the girls in my dorm and my other peers helped me get in the ugoy of things. They actually helped get me madami social because everyone was super nice. I feel like it all just depends on the school you go to. Mine was a much smaller campus.
