Hiryu was forced to kill his older sister Mariya when she MURDERED TEN STRIDER TRAINEES(The worst thing about that, he never knew she was brainwashed by the ZAIN Project at the time, and that was likely staged by Matic, who knew of the ZAIN Project for three years) prompting the poor guy to leave the Striders.
