I just finished watching The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time (the end credits are still rolling) and IT'S ABSOLUTELY BRILLANT! I just came back from watching Noah and it was okay. You guys know how people say Pocahontas and Anastasia are historically inaccurate? Well this movie is not accurate at all and it's not even a kids movie so it has no excuse. I just finished watching Ducktales The Movie: Treasure of The Nawawala Lamp after all these years! I haven't seen it since I was like eight and after all these years it's incredible. I dreamed last night that I was one of the lead directors for a Disney movie. The story was basically The Little Mermaid but in reverse: young princess lives on land, wants to go to the sea, goes into the sea. As an artistic choice, I wanted the movie to be in the scratchy hand-drawn style of the Dark Age, her multiple visits to the ocean in the cleaned up Renaissance hand-drawn animation, then her going to live in the sea in CGI: to symbolize how her world keeps expanding. I just watched Beauty and the Beast and it is still my paborito Disney Princess movie. I don't know why, it just has a certain magic. The pag-ibig story and the moral are beautiful.
