I think that's wrong, I mean, you can force yourself to act like you're straight, but that won't turn you straight.
I know people sometimes is very disrespectful with us, and it depends even madami of the place you are in. But I think the only solution is accept yourself the way you are, there's nothing bad on loving someone of your same gender. Things will get better, just be proud of who you are. You don't need to force yourself to be someone else, 'cause you're already amazing.

Honey NO!!! Just don't do this to yourself. Firstly, it's not gonna work, you can pretend but you can't change and it'll only make you worse. Secondly, you are perfect the way you are and you should be proud of yourself. Unfortunately, you live on a world full of idiots and it doesn't matter if you are LGTB or straight, beautiful or ugly, thin or fat, people will ALWAYS find something to judge you. So you have to learn to pag-ibig yourself and accept who you are. There isn't such thing like normal, everybody has its own personality, you don't need to change who you are. If someone tells you something rude or annoying, don't accept it, answer him back, say something smart and they'll understand that you don't take shit from anyone. I did that and it worked. I have problems of self-esteem, I try to pag-ibig myself and I understand how hard it can be, but you don't have to give up. Sorry for answering so late, if you are ok now this answer is probably useless to you but nevermind, I hope I helped you a little bit. :)

Look, I know how you feel....my older brother is gay and he tried "being straight" and they just broke up a week nakaraan because it didn't work out.....he, then, realized that he needed to stay the way he is and he should trust himself and ignore others.....they are just judgemental....believe in yourself and if you need an inspiration, try Adam Lambert....he can help you!

I do see that this is two months old, but I'm going to leave an answer just in case you come back to it... I don't think any of that works at all. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time, but don't think you have to change yourself. I can't offer much help, but I can wish you luck.
