Good araw Fanpoppers, I hope everyone's doing well! :)
So for once, just for the heck of it, I figured I'd give some payo to others on how I make Fanpop articles.
I know this idea probably isn't 100% original, and that it's common sense to type stuff up, but here's some neat little things I've found helps over the years Pagsulat content on Fanpop.
Welcome to one of my very few serious articles, don't get used to it. ;D
Pro Tip #1: Grammar
Seriously, this is basic stuff, but it needs to be said. It's fine if your English/Spanish/Whatever isn't the best, but for the pag-ibig of all that is holy, if you know how to type well, then prove it!
Not only is it far easier to read, but it looks professional and will get you far in the long run. Capitalize the beginning of your sentences, end sentences with periods, that kind of easy stuff.
Pro Tip #2: Ideas
If you come up with a neat idea for an article, go for it! Fanpop loves it when people make original content, or at least something new and amusing. Hell, content in general is appreciated, so don't be embarrassed to ipakita the world what you're capable of!
Pro Tip #3: Thumbnails/Images In General
I'm so surprised that nobody else does this. Usually, when I make an article, I make a fun little attractive image to better convey the meaning of my article. Think of it like a YouTube thumbnail, it's easy and you'd be surprised how many extra people will click on your artikulo just sa pamamagitan ng adding a neat little tuktok Image! Even if it makes no sense, just let your imagination cut Footloose and go for it!
And larawan in general are also much appreciated. Again, it looks professional and better gets the point across to your audience.
I'm going to assume you know how to add images, as there's literally a guide to the right of you during artikulo creation that explains it all.
But I will give a little tutorial for those who want to try out my thumbnail strategy, so here we go!
First off, you want a background photo. Just paghahanap for larawan in Google and try to find some neat stuff, then download the image. This image is my paborito because you can easily edit it, it's attractive, and is very simple and easy to look at.
Now that you have a background, download some larawan of characters or things you like that can convey what your artikulo is about. For example, if I'm mad, I'd want to go to Google and paghahanap "Mad Face" or something. Take your time searching as well, because there's a LOT of funny and cool stuff out there.
Once you're done with that, you'll need an image editor. sa pamamagitan ng far my paborito one to use is Pixlr.com (particularly the Express option) not only because it's free, but you can do so much with it. So really go nuts while editing!
Then just download the image, upload it to your Fanpop, and voila! An attractive thumbnail-esque image to ipakita your readers that you put effort and fun into your article.
Sorry this section went on for so long, it's just weird to me how few people actually do this. Then again, this is just me, so yeah.
Pro Tip #4: Be Yourself
This is a BIG one. Sure, it may be common knowledge, but you should never try to be someone you're not. You're YOU, you're creative, and nobody can change who you are unless you let them. ipakita personality in your articles, whether it be critical, humorous, expressive, passionate, anything goes and works!
Pro Tip #5: Ask Others If They Enjoyed At The End Of Your Article
People are bound to give their opinions on your artikulo anyways, but this helps nonetheless, and is KEY for improving your artikulo content.
What did you do correct, what could've been better, support and payo from fans is always welcome, and a viable option for improvement.
Also, some people tend to think that criticism is bad, and it's absolutely not! Constructive criticism is MUCH different than the kind of criticism we're used to seeing in YouTube comments.
For example.....
Good: "This artikulo was alright, but your grammar and general off-topic tendencies hindered it. Still though, loved how expressive you were, and I can see how much time you put into this. Keep it up! :)"
-Friendly
-Supportive
-Constructive
Bad: "THIS IS F**KN STOOPID 0/10"
-No Effort
-Not Constructive
-Comes Off As Bullying
-Grammar Dude....
So yeah, don't be offended when somebody says something's off in your articles, just take the payo and roll along with it, improving which each article. Also, just ignore the haters.
Pro Tip #6: Quality Over Quantity
EWWWW, QUALITY! TAKE IT AWAY, TAKE IT AWAY! D:
Seriously, if you can make daily masterpieces then you're a better man than I.
Put time into your articles, and try to never post an artikulo on a club if you've already had your turn and nobody else has gone after you yet. I'll name this "Double-Posting".
Basically, give others a chance, and while you do that, improve your work if it's already finished. After all, nobody likes a club full of artikulo made sa pamamagitan ng the same guy, it's flooding and doesn't give others a chance to catch up.
So What've We Learned Here?
Making an artikulo is like the creation of a cake. It takes time, effort, and consideration to be good. And if you ignore/gloss over some of these rules, you may find yourself in a bad position.
Grammar is key, stay creative & be yourself, maybe add some images, try to put in some effort, and know how to take some criticism. After all, it's almost NEVER easy starting out with something like this.
Think of YouTubers reacting to their old videos, they were still learning at the time and developing their personalities, which is why they weren't the best. But they kept pushing on through, and got where they are today. And honestly, I'm no different to this rule.
Seriously, go to ANY of my old artikulo and you'll see that most of them were pretty trash, or at least not as good as what I can do now. (For SURE. XD)
That's it for now guys, I hope everyone learned something from this! Being a writer on here for 4 years now, these tips are a few of the things I've learned, and am looking pasulong to a bright generation of articles.
Let me guys know what you thought of this in the comments below, and until then, fare thee well!
